Questions about programing DSPic on a Flex Full .

Post by ACortellazzi » Tue Jul 07, 2009 8:45 pm

Hi,

I have some questions about how to program the DSPic on a Flex Full Board.

1) Is it possible to program the DSPic using the USB port?
2) If it´s not , how I can program it using the ICD2 port?
I read the tutorial that came with the board, but to me the procedure was not clear, it´s necessary to have an ICD2 programmer or I can program the DSPic using the PIC 18 as a programmer.

Thanks in advance.

Dear Cortellazzi,

Although we just discussed this issue by e-mail I\'ll summarize the answer here for everybody:

The FLEX Full can be programmed using the ICD2 or ICD3.

The USB port and the dsPIC on dsPIC Full can be used in principle for programming the dsPIC, but unfortunately the code for doing this is not yet available.

ICD2, ICD3 are ok. Maybe also the PikKit2/PicKit3, but we never tried (and an adaptor is needed because in that case the connector is different)

To proceed, you need to set the jumpers as specified in the pictures on the FLEX Reference Manual v. 1.0.2 (available on http://www.evidence.eu.com/content/view/191/350/)

Then connect the power, and connect the ICD2...

Ciao,

PJ
