PINS in ADC

Post by bmfs » Tue Apr 14, 2009 3:07 pm

Hi, I would like to use an external circuit that will provide the voltage that I want the ADC to receive and convert.
I toke a look on your example and I understood how it works.
just want to know if I just need to connect the voltage to one of the pins, for example PIN 34, Temperature sensor (AN12/RB12);
Isn\'t necessary to give a reference voltage?

thanks,
BMFS

Yes... you need an external reference connected to the microcontroller. Please check the FLEX board schematics and look for JP6 and JP7. If I remember well they should control the connection to external voltage references...

Ciao,
