Error in MPLAB IDE

Post by Alberto_82 » Mon Feb 23, 2009 11:31 am

Hi to all,

I\'ve got a problem when selecting my ICD 2 debugger in MPLAB: it return the following error:

ICDWarn0020: Invalid target device id (expected=0xFF, read=0xBF)

What can I do to remove this error??

Many thanks,

Alberto

Hmmm... never hapepned to me. I googled a little bit, it could be a power problem (did you see the Status tab in the mplab ide to see if the voltages are right?

If your lab has more than one Flex board, try connecting your PC to another board to see if it works (to understand if it is a problem with the board or the ICD2).

If it is a problem with the board, take a look at the jumpers...

Did you check if the jumpers are ok? Is it one of the boards we shipped to University of pavia with the GP chip instead of the MC chip?

If none of this apply, I think you have maybe burned the MCU :-(
