FLEX Full PCB Programming with the USB

Post by Tuctronics » Thu Jan 31, 2008 4:16 am

Greetings. Is there some where I can find documentation on how to use the FLEX full PIC18 to program the dsPIC using the USB port? I do not even need Real time Kernels or C compiler at this point. Just a simple method to program the dsPIC on the FLEX and have it turn on an LED.

Hi!

Sorry for the delay... I was out of town for a few days...

We have some good news, in fact we have almost finished a plugin for MPLAB IDE which interfaces it with the USB port of the microcontroller. This will provide initial programming features.

We are also working on a programming method which uses a bootloader on the PIC18 (basically without the need of MPLABIDE).

We will release these features after the release of EE 1.4.2 together with a demo daughter board and the support for Scilab 4.1.2. The release of the new boards/Scicos/EE is planned before February 20, after that we will release the programming plugin...

bye!
