mplab_generatelib.bat not found

Post by tgm » Thu Jan 13, 2011 11:42 pm

Hi!

I have to mention that I'm the first time installing EE - Erika Enterprise 1.5.1 for dsPIC.
I can't find mplab_generatelib.bat in the Evidence folder as written
in tutorial_pic30_mplab_1_0_0.pdf.

Thank you!

Hi TGM,

The MPLAB installation guide has been done some time ago, We did not update it recently, because we did not have any news about anyone using it. Basically everybody is using the standard compilation flow from Eclipse/RT-Druid or from commandline (like what happens in ScicosLab).

I'll take a look at it in the next few days to see why it does not work. In the meantime, please use the standard flow.

Ciao,

PJ

Dear TGM,

I took a look at the files which were originally distributed with EE 1.4.3, to see the differences with the EE 1.5.1. In EE 1.5.1, many files changed position to enable the possibilioty of updating EE using Eclipse. This broke all the directory paths of the previous mplab_generatelib.bat and mplab_generatelib.sh.

I do not think it is worth resuming it, also because things are going to change soon with EE 1.6.0, and also with MPLAB X support.

I'm going to remove the document from the documentation, as it is now definitely outdated.

Please use the default workflow for generating a dspic application, as shown on
http://erika.tuxfamily.org/wiki/index.p ... pplication

Finally, as a reference: the two missing files are on the SVN, their location is:
http://svn.tuxfamily.org/viewvc.cgi/eri ... atchfiles/

Ciao,

Paolo

Hi!

Thanks for the answer.
I have a Microstick board from Microchip.
I'll use the default workflow and update the oil file to fit my needs.
