The GSoC2015(https://www.google-melange.com/gsoc/hom ... e/gsoc2015) is coming soon, It is a great chance to communicate the open source community with students. I also take part in the similar project which held last summer vacation in China, I transplant the git-head version of lwip to RT-Thread(It is an open-source Real-Time Embedded OS from China), So the tinny device that run RT-Thread can use IPv6 network. I want to know that ERIKA Enterprise whether has some ideas to take part in the GSoC2015? Any projects ideas can support?

I need to get some more information on this and see where we need to apply... do you know some more info?

Ciao!

You can see some projects here(https://www.google-melange.com/gsoc/org ... 2014/rtems;https://www.google-melange.com/gsoc/org ... 2013/rtems ) which were the projects proposed by RTEMS. In my advice, porting ERIKA Enterprise to the new CPU architecture(like MIPS,cortex-A), and updating or transplanting some modules(like lwip-1.4.1 and gdb stub) to ERIKA Enterprise are nice proposal.

I have just looked at the GSOC page... the deadline is end of feb, and we can start applying from 9 feb. It could be a nice idea to participate.

We could have various projects for that, which could include:

- support for a Cortex-A (we could think at RaspberryPI or UDOO)
- a revamping of the STM32F4Discovery drivers (there have been recent updates)
- we'll also release a new version of ERIKA enhanced for multicores soon, and we'll need some portings on it (but maybe will be something for the GSOC 2016)

probably we'll need to think at some other ideas too.

I am interested in the project of multicores porting or the design of the multicores supported kernel because that In the next spring semester , we'll begin the study of multicores and trully it is an interesting issue. Finally,I hope that I can participate in the project of ERIKA Enterprise in the game of GSoC2015.

What a pity! The Erika Enterprise did not accepted by Google! It seems that this year the number of accepted organizations was very smaller than last year!

Yes it was a pity... but we'll try again next year!

Thanks for pointing us to the GSOC opportunity!
